On-Site Professional Development

Getting into classrooms is a great opportunity to learn alongside one another. During these days, there is usually time devoted to meeting with teachers to study a topic or area of need as well as time spent in classrooms, with a combination of demonstration and teacher coaching. This might include thinking about pedagogy, looking at data, unit planning, and more. It’s usually most effective to devote multiple days to on-site professional development, either consecutively or spread out across the year. Teachers might work within their grade-levels or across grades, depending on your needs.
In- Person Workshop

Looking to support school-wide change? Implement district-wide goals? Let’s schedule in-person workshop days. During these days, participants usually come together in larger group(s) to study a topic together. These days can be presentation-style or more interactive.

These are especially effective on days when there are no students in the building, or before the school year begins.
Distance Learning Meetings

Ain’t no mountain high, ain’t no valley low...

Let’s get together over Zoom or GoogleMeet when we can’t be on-site together. During these days, participants can come together to study a topic, unpack units, plan together, create tools, and/or ask questions. These sessions can be customized to meet your timing needs; whether they are full-day, half-day, or shorter meetings.
Curriculum Consultation

This is a great option whether you’re unrolling a new curriculum, creating new units or materials, aligning your units to new state standards, or want to spice up your current scope and sequence.
Asynchronous Support

Need supports for your teachers, administrators, or coaches but don’t have the time to get everyone together? Let me create customizable courses, tools, or supports for your staff that to roll out at your own pace.
Units of Study Implementation

As a co-author of the new Units of Study in writing, one of my passions is supporting teachers with their unpacking, planning, and implementation of the units.

Let me support you and your school as you marry process-based writing with the demands of the CCSS, while creating students who love to write.
